About FVR™

What it is and how it operates.

What is FVR™ and what kind of body is it?

FVR™ is a certification body that assesses and certifies both individual competence (ISO/IEC 17024) and organizational management systems (ISO/IEC 17021-1). It runs as a 100% digital platform and issues independent, impartial certifications. It is neither a school nor a consultancy: its role is to decide on and issue certifications.

What sets it apart from traditional certification?

A 100% digital, subscription-based model, instead of a one-off exam fee and in-person test centres on fixed dates. Preparation is supported by AI-validated training; the assessment measures real competence, not memorization; and every certificate can be verified publicly online by reference number and QR code.

Is it a school, a consultancy or a certification body?

Exclusively a certification body. To preserve the impartiality required by ISO/IEC 17024 and ISO/IEC 17021-1, FVR™ keeps preparation and the certification decision separate: whoever certifies neither influences nor guarantees a pass.

Which standards does it operate under (ISO/IEC 17024 and 17021-1), and what does each one mean?

ISO/IEC 17024 sets the requirements for bodies that certify the competence of individuals. ISO/IEC 17021-1 sets the requirements for bodies that audit and certify organizational management systems. Both ensure impartiality, rigour and consistency. FVR™'s structure is aligned with these standards; formal accreditation is in process.

Which countries and languages does it operate in today?

As a digital platform, FVR™ serves candidates and organizations in any country, with an initial focus on the Spanish-speaking market. The site is available in Spanish and English (ES · EN).

People · ISO/IEC 17024

Professional competence certification.

What does FVR™ certify for individuals, and who is it for?

It certifies professional competence against the standards in the FVR™ portfolio — quality, environmental, occupational health and safety, energy, anti-bribery, information security, among others. It is aimed at management system professionals, auditors, consultants and the people responsible for each discipline.

What levels are there and how do they differ?

Three. Requirements (RQ): in-depth understanding of the standard's clauses and how they apply. Internal Auditor (AU): competence to plan and carry out internal audits. Lead Auditor (AL): advanced competence to lead teams and third-party audits, manage the audit team and produce reports.

Do I need prior experience or meet any requirement to get certified?

The Requirements level is open to any interested professional. Internal Auditor and Lead Auditor call for prior knowledge of the standard and experience related to auditing or management systems, as set out in each certification's scheme.

Does the certification replace a university degree or a professional credential?

No. It validates technical competence against a specific standard; it is a complementary credential. It does not replace academic degrees or professional licences.

Can I certify in several standards with a single subscription?

Yes. The individual subscription gives access to the full portfolio of standards and all three levels, with no per-certification fee. You progress through any standard and level as you pass, under the terms in force.

Companies · ISO/IEC 17021-1

Management system certification.

What does FVR™ certify for companies, and which standards does it cover?

It certifies that the organization's management system conforms to the standards in the portfolio — for example ISO 9001:2015 (quality), ISO 14001:2015 (environmental), ISO 45001:2018 (health and safety) or ISO/IEC 27001:2022 (information security). The certificate confirms that the system meets the requirements of the applicable standard.

What does the 3-year cycle look like (stages and surveillance)?

It starts with a two-stage certification audit: Stage 1 (documentation review) and Stage 2 (on-site implementation). If the requirements are met, the certificate is issued. Surveillance audits take place in years 1 and 2, and before year 3 closes a recertification audit starts a new cycle.

How long does an audit take, and what does that depend on?

It is calculated using the minimum durations in IAF MD 5, taking into account headcount, the complexity and risk of the scope, the sector and the integration of several standards, and the number of sites. FVR™ determines the duration for each organization using these criteria.

What if my organization has several sites or branches?

Multi-site sampling applies under IAF MD 1: a representative sample is audited where there is homogeneity and central control of the system. The certificate covers every site included in the defined scope.

Process and assessment

How we assess.

What is the assessment like, and why “competence, not memorization”?

It combines knowledge questions with practical cases, plus video and audio from real audits that call for analysing, interpreting and resolving workplace situations. It measures judgement and application, not the ability to recite clauses from memory.

Is the assessment online, in person or a mix?

For individuals, 100% online, with no test centres or fixed dates. For companies, audits may be on-site, remote or a mix, depending on the scope, the location and the requirements of the standard.

How many attempts do I get, and what happens if I don't pass?

2 attempts per assessment. If you don't pass, you receive feedback on your areas for improvement and can revisit the material before your next attempt. Anything beyond that is governed by the certification's scheme.

How long does the certificate take to be issued after passing?

Immediately. On passing you receive your downloadable digital certificate, with a verification QR code, available in your portal and in the public verification system.

Training and preparation

How you prepare.

Does FVR™ run courses or only certify? What is the difference?

FVR™ is a certification body and, as a complement, offers preparatory training (pre-recorded, AI-validated) to its subscribers. Preparation supports your learning, but the certification decision is independent and is not guaranteed by it. That separation is an impartiality requirement of ISO/IEC 17024.

What is “AI-validated training” and how does it work?

Preparation modules whose content and exercises are reviewed and validated with the support of artificial intelligence, to keep them aligned with the standard in force and with the assessment scheme. While you study, the AI gives feedback, identifies areas for improvement and suggests revision paths. Available on the Professional and Enterprise plans, subject to a fair use policy.

Is there live instruction or are there tutors?

There is no live instruction and there are no human tutors. The model is 24/7 self-access, with AI-validated materials, transcripts, video and audio. The Professional and Enterprise plans include email support.

Does the study material work for any standard in the portfolio?

It includes cross-cutting content (management systems, auditing, continual improvement) that applies to several standards, plus modules specific to each standard and level. It is all included in the same subscription; you progress at no extra cost.

Pricing and subscription

Plans and payments.

How much does the individual subscription cost and what does it include?

Three monthly plans in USD with a 12-month minimum term. Formación: access to all certified content, downloadable material and 2 attempts per assessment. Profesional: the above plus AI tools and email support. Enterprise: the above plus unlimited use of the AuditHub tools and priority support. The price is adjusted by country.

Is there an annual plan as well as the monthly one? With a discount?

The subscription has a 12-month minimum term from activation. For the payment options currently available and any associated benefits, see the Plans page or get in touch.

Can I cancel whenever I want? What happens to my certificate if I do?

The 12-month minimum term applies. Important for individuals: the certificate's validity is conditional on keeping the subscription active, in line with the 17024 scheme's certificate term policy. On cancelling, you also lose access to training, assessments and recertification.

How are companies charged (by scope, by site)? Is there a quote?

Company certification is quoted individually according to the standard(s), the scope of the system, headcount and the number of sites. Request your quote or write to support@fvr.mx.

Validity, recertification and revocation

How long your certificate lasts.

How long is an individual certificate valid for?

The typical cycle under ISO/IEC 17024 is 3 years, with interim surveillance. The exact validity is stated on your digital certificate.

What happens to my certificate when the standard's version changes?

A transition period is defined during which the certificate issued under the previous version remains valid. Within that period, you update your certification to the new version (normally through a review of the changes or an update module) so that it stays valid once the transition ends.

In what cases is a certificate suspended or revoked?

For misuse of the certificate or of the FVR™ mark, false information, breach of the scheme's rules or code of ethics, failure to recertify in time, or as the outcome of an upheld complaint. A suspension may be lifted once the cause is closed; revocation is final.

What does recertification involve and when does it apply?

It applies before validity expires, at the close of the 3-year cycle. It assesses continued competence through an updated assessment and, where applicable, evidence of experience or professional development under the version of the standard in force.

Is my certificate still valid if I stop paying the subscription?

In personnel certification (17024), an active subscription is a condition of the certificate's continued validity: if the subscription lapses, the certificate may be suspended in line with the certificate term policy. Company certificates (17021-1) are governed by their 3-year audit cycle, not by a subscription.

Verification

How a certificate is checked.

How does an employer verify that my certificate is genuine?

By scanning the QR code on the certificate or entering the reference number on FVR™'s public verification page. Validation is direct, with no intermediaries and at no cost.

What does public verification by reference number/QR show?

The holder (or the company), the certified standard and level, the reference number, the validity dates and the current status: valid, suspended or revoked.

Is the certificate recognized internationally?

It is structured under the principles of ISO/IEC 17024, an internationally recognized standard. Formal recognition through accreditation will increase once the accreditation process under way is complete.

Accreditation and trust

The backing behind the certificate.

Is FVR™ accredited? What does “accreditation in process” mean?

FVR™'s structure is aligned with ISO/IEC 17024 and ISO/IEC 17021-1, and formal accreditation is in the process of being obtained. “In process” means the technical criteria are met and the formal application has been filed with an accreditation body.

Who backs the certificates (the accreditation chain)?

The chain of trust runs: ISO defines the standard → the Global Forum and its multilateral arrangements → the accreditation body → FVR™ as the certification body → the certificate holder.

What will happen to certificates issued today once accreditation is formal?

Certificates issued during the process keep their validity. Once accreditation is obtained, it will be reflected on valid certificates through the corresponding seal, in line with the accreditation body's rules.

How are impartiality and confidentiality guaranteed?

Certification decisions are independent of the preparation process and of any commercial interest, with conflicts of interest identified and managed. Candidate and organization information is handled under confidentiality and data protection policies.

Account and support

Your portal and how to reach us.

What can I do from the portal / my account?

Access content and materials, track your progress, sit assessments, download certificates, manage your subscription, check the validity and history of your certifications, and update your details.

How do I contact support, and which channel applies to me?

All support is handled at a single address: support@fvr.mx, for both people (ISO/IEC 17024) and companies (ISO/IEC 17021-1). State your certification line in the subject so your case is routed faster. The Professional and Enterprise plans include email support; Enterprise includes priority support.
